Before the universe began, Lord Vishnu rested on the cosmic serpent Ananta in the infinite ocean. From his navel emerged a lotus, giving birth to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe.

Known as the Preserver of the Universe, Lord Vishnu maintains cosmic balance and protects righteousness. He holds four divine symbols: the Sudarshana Chakra, Shankha, Gada, and Padma, representing cosmic power, creation, strength, and purity.

His divine abode is Vaikuntha, where he resides with Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Riding his mighty mount Garuda, Lord Vishnu protects the universe and restores balance whenever evil threatens the world.
