In this episode of the Motor Mouths Podcast, the microphone gets turned around as Brian Brock and special guest cohost Jason McKenzie sit down with the other half of the MotorMouths team, Ronnie Wilson.
Ronnie takes us back to his childhood and upbringing in Columbus, Georgia, sharing the experiences that helped shape the person he is today. He talks about his dad and the many things he learned from him — lessons that not only taught Ronnie how to fix just about anything, but also helped make him one of the trusted “fix-it guys” on the Ride.
Ronnie also shares the story of how he met Scott Ressmeyer in a camera store, just seven months after Scott completed his original solo ride that would eventually become the Ride for Miracles. That meeting led Ronnie to become one of the original 11 riders who joined Scott on the very first group Ride in 2009.
But this conversation goes far beyond motorcycles and mechanical skills. Ronnie opens up about what it means to have the heart for the Ride — the people, the friendships, the kids, and the purpose behind every mile.
It’s a personal look at Ronnie’s journey, the people who influenced him, and why the Ride for Miracles has become such an important part of his life.
