Ned sits in the winterfell library. He’s been dreaming of this day, the day when he would be sent north to the Eyrie for many years now. Everything he’d ever seen had played out exactly as he’d foreseen it, and now he had no choice, he had to tell his father. He had to try to save Brandon and Rickard.

When Ned enters his solar unprompted, Rickard looks up from the letter he’d been writing.

Rickard Stark: Ned, I was about to ask you to come here, excellent.
