Join historian Andrea Zuvich, The Seventeenth Century Lady, as she welcomes July’s guest historian, Catherine Curzon, to chat about the dramatic and tragic subject of Curzon's biography, The Imprisoned Princess: The Scandalous Life of Sophia Dorothea of Celle published by Pen & Sword History in 2020.
They'll talk about Sophia Dorothea (1666–1726) and her unhappy marriage to George (later King George I of Great Britain & Ireland), her ill-fated love with Count Philip von Königsmarck (1665–1694), and her long-term imprisonment until her death. Fans of the classic 1948 film, Sarabande for Dead Lovers, will not want to miss this!
Catherine Curzon is also a popular novelist, having written and co-written many bestselling works.
