• What a workflow automation actually is. Somebody texts a keyword, fills out a form or pays a link. A trigger fires, and the system does the next step: sends the PDF, sends the payment link, books the call.
• The human part. Before Connor builds anything, he listens for 15 or 20 minutes: where clients come from, and where they leak. Maybe most of a business's calls land Sunday night between 7 and 10 and nobody answers.
• Why setup has been a nightmare: connectors, integrations, bridges, and hunting for the break between step 3 and step 5 when you're already on step 7.
• What changed with Astra: it reached across his systems and connected the dots with very little hand-holding, and it routed work to his own local models to save cost.
• The danger. If an AI does steps above your capability and then goes away, can you still run your business? Keep a couple of phone numbers memorized.
• The ask. Don't let AI treat you like a simp. Tell it to challenge you, push back and make you better, like a coach, not a crutch.
