If AI can do every job better than people, why is the plan to fire the people? Connor MacIvor proposes a different answer: keep paying the human.
AI is now being pointed at hard mathematics, biology and the work itself. In Connor's read, the gains will be enormous, and most of them will land at the top. The people up there might lose half a fortune in a bad stretch and still be wealthy. Everyone else gets told to brace for an uncomfortable period. In this episode of View from the Ground Floor, Connor asks who actually carries that discomfort, and what it would take to get everyone through it.
