Mayday (written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein). Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh star in a Cold War action comedy about an American pilot shot down over the Soviet Union needing help from a retired KGB agent to get back across the border.

The Quiet Earth (directed by Geoff Murphy, 1985). Kiwi classic sci-fi as Bruno Lawrence wakes one morning to find he is the only creature left alive on the planet and roams the empty streets of Auckland looking for the reason why.
