Sunday 2nd Service: “The Empowered Spiritual Walk Pt II” Romans CH 8:6-11

In Part II of The Empowered Spiritual Walk, we continue our line-by-line study through Romans 8 and examine the contrast between the carnal mind and the spiritually minded life. Romans 8 teaches us that being carnally minded leads to death, while being spiritually minded produces life and peace. As believers, we have been given the Holy Spirit, but we are still called to deliberately resist the flesh, recognize the progression of temptation, trust the Lord, remain grounded in His word, and yield ourselves to the Spirit. We also look at what it means to have the Spirit of Christ dwelling within us, the assurance that comes from being sealed by the Holy Spirit, and several practical markers that can help us recognize the Spirit’s renewing work in our lives. And ultimately, Romans 8:11 points us back to an amazing reality: the same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells within every believer.
