In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will “aggressively” crack down on colleges and universities that continue to offer race-based “affinity” housing. Often referred to as “affinity” housing, some universities offer special residence areas for students of specific racial or ethnic identities. Universities often tout these specialized housing options as a way to promote diversity, community, and belonging.

Also the latest on the war with Iran as Houthi terrorists in Yemen claimed responsibility for the strikes on two Saudi oil tankers that were moving through the Red Sea on Wednesday. The U.S. and Iran have been trading attacks for more than a week, fueling instability in the Strait of Hormuz and driving Brent crude to nearly $99 a barrel after a roughly 16% gain last week.
