Dela

In this Climate Chat episode, host Dan Miller interviews atmospheric scientist Dr. Matthew S. Johnson on his critical work to find ways to eradicate methane from point sources such as a cow barn, as well as from the atmosphere.

Matthew S. Johnson, PhD is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen. He has a Bachelor in Chemistry from Macalester College in St. Paul Minnesota and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology for work on laser spectroscopy of solvated ions in a molecular beam. He received a Fulbright Fellowship to work at the MAX-Lab Synchrotron in Lund Sweden on spectroscopy related to stratospheric ozone depletion. He is coauthor of 134 peer-reviewed publications in atmospheric chemistry, kinetics and spectroscopy, 12 patents and the textbook Chemistry and the Environment published by Cambridge University Press. He has founded and/or worked with multiple startup companies including Infuser, Airlabs, Airscape, Rensair, Sterisafe, Devlabs and Ambient Carbon.
