What if there is no “best version” of you waiting somewhere in the future?

What if the goal was never to become someone better, but to embrace every version of yourself?

In this episode, I’m talking about the exhausting cycle of striving, becoming, people-pleasing, learning, doing, and constantly trying to improve ourselves in the hope that someday we’ll finally feel like we’ve arrived.

I share some of my own story—from the little girl who was curious, talkative, creative, silly, and full of life, to the version who felt like I was “too much” and who began changing to fit a mold that was never meant for me.

Along the way, I became a master chameleon.

In my own journey, I began realizing that I didn't want to spend my life chasing some imaginary “best version” of myself.

I want to be every version of me.

The one-year-old who hated SpaghettiOs.
The five-year-old who could make friends with anyone.
The seven-year-old who asked too many questions.
The versions who were scared.
The versions who were angry.
The versions who were joyful.
The versions who got lost.
The versions who are still healing.

They all get to exist.

And maybe the parts of ourselves we thought we had to get rid of aren't actually gone. Maybe they're still here, waiting for us to embrace them unconditionally.

  • Why constantly trying to become a “better” version of yourself can keep you from actually experiencing your life
  • The pressure to prove your worth through achievement, learning, doing, and striving
  • How people-pleasing can turn us into “master chameleons”
  • What happens when we begin dimming the parts of ourselves that once felt too much
  • Letting go of the idea that there is a destination where we've finally “arrived”
  • Making space for all of the different versions of ourselves
  • Reconnecting with curiosity, joy, creativity, wonder, and the parts of ourselves we learned to suppress
  • The beauty of uncertainty, mystery, and the unexpected moments of being human
  • Remembering that you don't have to become someone else to be worthy

You don't have to do more.

You don't have to become someone else.

You don't have to finally arrive at some perfectly evolved version of yourself.

You are already worthy simply because you exist.

You are enough.

You're not too much.

And you're doing so much better than you think you are.

So today, instead of asking “How can I become a better version of myself?”…

Ask yourself:

“What version of me needs my acceptance and love?”

I'd love to hear from you.

What part of this episode spoke to you? What version of yourself are you learning to celebrate and love?

If something in this episode resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it with me. Your stories, reflections, and experiences are what make these conversations so meaningful.

And if you enjoyed this episode, leaving a review would mean so much to me. Reviews help this message reach more people who might need to hear it, too.

Thank you for being here, for listening, and for sharing your journey.

To every version of us 🥂
