In this History episode we focus on the March 1995 sarin attack on the Tokyo subway — the morning Aum Shinrikyo released nerve agent simultaneously on five subway lines during rush hour, killing 13 and injuring thousands, in an attack the Japanese authorities had been warned about and failed to act on.
The cult had already used sarin once before. The police had been warned. Nobody acted.
