In this episode, Tess Frame and Becky Squire continue their study of Isaiah, focusing on chapters 13–35 and the Come, Follow Me theme, “A Marvelous Work and a Wonder.” These chapters move through judgment, scattering, restoration, covenant, resurrection, and the latter-day gathering of Israel. Again and again, Isaiah shows that worldly power, pride, wealth, and human wisdom eventually fail, while Jesus Christ remains the sure foundation that can carry us through everything else.
The conversation highlights some of Isaiah’s most hopeful prophecies, including the Lord swallowing up death in victory, keeping His people in perfect peace, gathering scattered Israel, and laying in Zion “a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation.” Tess and Becky also explore Isaiah 29 and its connection to the Restoration, the Book of Mormon, and God’s “marvelous work and a wonder.” The message is bigger than the coming forth of scripture alone. It is about God restoring revelation, gathering His people, opening spiritual eyes, and bringing them back to Him.
They also connect these chapters to women today by discussing hard seasons, healing, comparison, revelation, and God’s awareness of the vulnerable. Trials can have purpose, broken things can be restored, and spiritual growth happens “line upon line, precept upon precept.” The episode offers a reminder that Christ heals what feels broken, guides His people one step at a time, and remains the foundation when every other source of security falls away.
