Vika & Linda Bull Battled Boys Clubs, Break-Ups & Bad Times While Staying In Tune

Dela

For almost four decades, Vika and Linda Bull have been one of Australia's most beloved musical duos. But long before the ARIA Hall of Fame, chart-topping albums and standing ovations, they were simply two sisters growing up in a home filled with music, faith and an unwavering sense of family.

In this episode of The Australian Women's Weekly Love Stories, Vika and Linda join Tiffany Dunk to reflect on the upbringing that shaped them, the unique bond of their "blood harmony", and the lessons they've learned from building a career side by side.

Together they share stories from life on the road, the challenges of navigating the music industry as women, the conflict that almost pulled them apart, and the family intervention that brought them back together.

Vika also opens up about her journey to sobriety, while both sisters reflect on why honesty, forgiveness and family have become the foundation of both their music and their lives.

Moments you’ll hear:

  • Why Vika and Linda say they "won the parent lottery"
  • Growing up in a home where Tongan and Australian cultures came together through food, faith and music
  • What "blood harmony" really means
  • Starting out in Melbourne's pub scene and breaking into the music industry
  • Touring with The Black Sorrows, Joe Camilleri and Paul Kelly
