We talk about geochemistry, reading metal traces in soil and glacial till to understand what may exist deep in the bedrock. Different metals appear together depending on geological environment, and those relationships guide where companies choose to drill. We follow the workflow from glacial transport and grid sampling to anomaly patterns and tighter follow-up sampling. Gold turns out to be tricky, sometimes indicated by arsenic and vegetation, sometimes completely alone. Geochemistry is a low-cost, low-impact way to reduce risk before drilling starts.
Conclusions
Geochemistry is about interpreting patterns, not single high values.
Pathfinder elements (arsenic for gold, molybdenum for copper) are often more important than the target metal early on.
Glacial transport turns exploration into detective work — direction and geology matter.
