The Six Shooter presents “The Stampede,” episode 3, originally broadcast on NBC on October 4, 1953. James Stewart stars as wandering gunman Britt Ponset in this early Coleman Heaters-sponsored installment, written by Frank Burt and directed by Jack Johnstone.

Bound for Abilene on a cattle drive, Britt rides with the McAdams brothers as growing tension between Ryfe and Norm turns a difficult trail into a dangerous family conflict. Lou Merrill and James McCallion co-star.

Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
