What if you’re asking God to remove the obstacle when He’s already made a way through it?

I was thinking about Moses and the Red Sea when something hit me differently. God was about to do what the Israelites could never do for themselves, part an entire sea, but they still had a part to play. They had to move their feet.

And I realized that’s exactly what God did for me with food.

For decades, I felt trapped by sugar, processed food, overeating, cravings, and food noise. When I finally surrendered that struggle to God, He didn’t magically carry me to the other side. He showed me a path, and then I had to walk in it. 🩷

✨ In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • What the story of Moses and the Red Sea taught me about my own food struggle
  • Why sometimes God’s answer isn’t removing the obstacle, but making a way through it
  • How food boundaries became the path God showed me
  • The difference between relying on your own strength and taking faithful action
  • Why boundaries aren’t punishment, they can be a gift
  • What it looks like to “move your feet” one meal and one decision at a time
  • The question to ask when you feel like you’re waiting for God to change something

For me, the path looked like three measured meals a day, real food, no processed sugar or flour, planning ahead, and saying no to that first compulsive bite.

God did the work I could never do for myself, but I still had to take the next step.

So maybe instead of asking God to carry you over your Red Sea, ask: “God, have You already shown me the way through?”

The sea may already be open. Sometimes faith looks like trusting God enough to move your feet. ✨

Make it a great day!
