Can gratitude and grief exist at the same time?
In G of the A–Z of Can You Hear You?, I explore two emotions that can appear to sit at opposite ends of our experience: gratitude and grief.
Gratitude asks us to notice what is here — the small things, the ordinary things, the moments and parts of ourselves we might otherwise overlook.
Grief asks us to acknowledge what has changed, ended or been lost.
And grief isn’t only found in death. We can grieve relationships, friendships, jobs, holidays, chapters of our lives, lost connection and simply the reality that something is no longer as it was.
This episode is an invitation to make space for both: to notice what you’re thankful for while also giving yourself permission to feel what hurts.
No forcing. No fixing. Just meeting yourself where you are today.
