I was 25, standing outside a club in Nagoya, when a guy from a Yakuza family wanted to kill me. Everyone around me lost it. I was the only calm one.

I tell that story in this video. It's one of 9 things I wish somebody had told me earlier about being an INFP.

The INFP journey is hard. Emotions feel huge, relationships hurt, and it's easy to decide you're the problem. I did. Here's what I'd tell my younger self.

In this video:

0:00 The night in Nagoya

0:27 1. Having emotions isn't a problem

1:51 2. You're not the problem

3:00 3. Find out what character class you're playing

4:21 4. Getting close to people hurts, and it's worth it

5:40 5. Decide, act, then adjust

6:52 6. Your interests share a thread

8:11 7. Whatever you do now won't be forever

9:36 8. Finish the thing

10:59 9. Set the line

12:29 You are part of the solution

If you've ever felt too sensitive, scattered, or stuck as an INFP, you might find something here. Take what fits.
