I used to talk to myself like a drill sergeant, and it never once got me to make the thing. This is how I get myself moving as an INFP, using a quest instead of a whip.

The word motivation can sound like a boss yelling at you. A lot of us feel we should just be able to do it, so we turn into our own commander and try to whip ourselves into shape.

What works better for me is looking for what inspires me. Once I know that, I can take the quest from there.

In this video, I cover:

  • Why motivation feels so heavy for many INFPs
  • Two kinds of inspiration: what you want in your life, and what you'd hate to have in it
  • The regret question I ask myself when I'm stuck
  • How to be your own quest giver, with a Why, a What, and a rough How
  • Why a big Why can carry you even when you don't know the steps

Which one moves you more, something you want or something you'd regret missing? If you feel like sharing, I'd love to read it in the comments.
