Following Our Yeses: Slug Wisdom, True Choice, and Discernment with the Marion Method.

In this episode of The Marion Rose Podcast, I explore our yeses in the Marion Method and how following our yeses helps us connect with and live from the deepest places in ourselves ~ our Soul ~ rather than from Disconnected Domination Culture (DDC) consciousness.

I share about “slug wisdom” as our innate body knowing of yes and no, and how feelings and sensations (such as interest, delight, curiosity, disgust, resentment, and overwhelm) guide our discernment, sometimes only after lived experience.

I talk about how unmet needs and early conditioning can disconnect us from our needs, desires, and preferences, and how MM practices support reconnection, safety, and true choice.

I also explore how DDC can entice and engineer “yeses,” drawing on Edward Bernays' book Propaganda, the shift from needs to desires in the DDC, and mimetic desire from Luke Burgis/René Girard.

I offer information, such as how satisfaction and fulfilment are key signs of a true yes.
