Zdravo svima, ja sam Nevena.
Hello everyone, I am Nevena.
Jelena (00:02)
Ja sam Jelena.
I am Jelena.

I dobro došli u novu epizodu Unlock Your Serbian sa Jelenom i Nevenom. And welcome to a new episode of Unlock Your Serbian with Jelena and Nevena.
Jelena (00:08)
That's right, welcome to another episode of our podcast and today we are talking about politics. This is perhaps sometimes a taboo topic, but we consider it very important to talk about this topic in this period because the political situation in Serbia is currently changing quite a bit, and we want to see a little in which direction it is changing and generally whether people in Serbia are satisfied with the political situation in their country.

That's right, this is a topic we haven't discussed for a long time. At least from my perspective, one of the main reasons is because we don't live in Serbia. And I always thought that maybe I, as a person who chose not to live in Serbia, might not have full right to talk about a political situation there. Which maybe isn't right. I don't know, that was my situation and my opinion, but considering that elections are approaching—meaning at the moment this episode comes out it's already October 12th—we should also mention a few important events that brought us to the situation we are in now.
