Everybody serves something. The question is not whether you will have a master, but which master you will obey. In Romans 6:13-23, Paul exposes the illusion that freedom means simply doing whatever we want. Sin promises freedom but produces slavery, shame, and ultimately death. Jesus does something radically different: He breaks sin's dominion and gives us a new life, a new allegiance, and a new direction.
