In Romans 6:1-12, Paul reveals what it means to be united with Christ in His death and resurrection. The old self has been crucified, sin's mastery has been broken, and we have been raised to walk in the newness of life. The Christian life is not an endless attempt to repair the person you used to be. It is learning to live from the new identity Christ has already given you.
