Episode 264: The film points to a tougher truth: the Cowboys had answers against Green Bay, and abandoned them. On this episode of Doin’ Alright, Bryan Broaddus and Voch Lombardi explain why the defense’s struggles don’t excuse an offense that remained within striking distance, found success on the ground and still chose to put the game on Dak Prescott’s arm 50 times.
Then it’s frame-by-frame: missed pickups against stunts and gap exchanges, predictable stop routes, poor spacing, unused grass and max-protection concepts that give the quarterback too few clean answers. Bryan and Voch also examine whether Brian Schottenheimer’s responsibilities as head coach are hurting his play-calling, and whether handing the offense to someone else could provide the change Dallas needs.
Finally, the guys roll every Cowboys blitz to expose the hesitation, poor timing and communication breakdowns keeping the defense from getting home. The verdict is bigger than one struggling unit: coaching and execution failed together, and both must improve before the Cowboys face Philadelphia.
