Episode 263: Bryan Broaddus and Voch Lombardi react to the Cowboys’ 23-13 loss to Green Bay and dig into what went wrong on both sides of the ball. They start with the few positives, Joey Porter Jr., Quinnen Williams and some willingness from the coaching staff to make personnel changes, before turning to the bigger issues with Caleb Downs, the secondary, Malachi Lawrence and a defense that still struggled despite holding the Packers to 23 points.
The bigger conversation centers on the offense. Bryan and Voch question Brian Schottenheimer’s preparation and play calling, break down why Dallas had no answers for Green Bay’s blitzes, and discuss the protection issues that repeatedly left free rushers on Dak Prescott. They also get into George Pickens’ limited route tree, whether Schottenheimer should give up play-calling duties, why the Cowboys abandoned the run, and whether it’s time to make another major personnel move at right tackle.
