Jim Bath is a true pioneer of whitetail bowhunting and one of the most interesting people I’ve ever had on Launch One.
Jim is an Archery Hall of Famer, 2003 Vegas Senior Champion, and one of the original speed-focused bowhunters. He was shooting bows over 350 FPS long before fast bows became common. He was also heavily involved with Carter releases and other major names in the archery industry.
Jim is also known for the famous “Bath Sheds,” a set of once-world-record non-typical whitetail sheds that scored over 300 inches.
Outside of archery, Jim has spent more than 50 years buying, managing, and improving whitetail ground. He has put thousands of hours into his Kansas farms and has taken multiple world-class bucks, including two deer in the 230-inch range and numerous others in the 190s.
Jim also spent years as a bush pilot flying hunters in Alaska. At 82 years old, he is still out working on food plots, clearing ground, and managing his whitetail farms every day.
In this episode, we talk about Jim’s approach to whitetail management, hunting giant deer, fast bows, archery history, the Bath Sheds, and the lessons he has learned over more than 50 years in the outdoors.
This is one of my most anticipated Launch One episodes yet.
