I still can’t believe I’m writing this: I received an ARC of Vasmora from Keri Lake. 🥹
After spending the last two years obsessing over The Eating Woods, creating deep dives, dissecting the lore, following the threads from Anathema through Eldritch, and sharing this entire journey with you… Keri Lake chose to send me an advance reader copy of Vasmora.
And yes, I filmed the moment I opened it. Not because I expected this to happen, but because I knew I never wanted to forget what it felt like.
This is a very different kind of Fantasy Femme Fatales episode. There’s no analysis, no theories, and no deep dive. Just a completely real, emotional Vasmora ARC unboxing and my very overwhelmed reaction to receiving the final book in The Eating Woods trilogy. 😅
I wanted to share this moment with the people who have been here obsessing over these books with me. Because the truth is, creating all of those Anathema and Eldritch deep dives has made these books feel like a part of my life, and this moment felt like the most unexpected, surreal payoff to loving a story this much. 🖤🖤🖤
Inside the unboxing:
- My completely raw reaction to receiving the Vasmora ARC
- The gorgeous ARC package and artwork
- A first look at the Vasmora ARC and special details
- Realizing this is the final book in The Eating Woods trilogy 🥺
- Keri Lake's letter to her readers: spoiler alert - it gave me chills!
- Why being recognized by an author whose work I genuinely admire meant so much to me
- A little reflection on the Anathema → Eldritch → Vasmora journey
- And, of course, an extremely emotional fangirl moment 🫣🖤
And yes!! The Vasmora deep dives are coming. Once we finish our Eldritch journey, we are going ALL IN on the final book. If you found Fantasy Femme Fatales through the Eating Woods deep dives, this is just the beginning 🖤
Thank you for being here and for making it possible for me to have moments like this. If you're a Keri Lake fan, an Eating Woods reader, a gothic fantasy reader, or just someone who loves getting ridiculously invested in a fictional world, I hope you'll stick around.
