We talk about healing as if it has a finish line.
As if one day we become secure enough, self-aware enough, healed enough, and the old wounds simply stop showing up.
I don’t think it works that way.
In this chapter of Collecting Maps, I talk about what it means to keep meeting the same parts of ourselves from another place on the spiral. The urge to run. The reflex to please. The fear of losing someone. The fear of losing ourselves.
Not because the work failed.
Because the work is a practice.
I explore self-love, people pleasing, conscious love, the difference between casual sex and conscious sex, and what happens when presence becomes more important than performance.
There are moments when loving consciously means staying. There are other moments when it means choosing yourself.
The point is not to become someone who never gets activated. It is to become someone who notices, returns, and chooses with a little more awareness.
Same wound. Different altitude. Still human.
Maybe growth is not never returning.
Maybe it is returning differently.
Stay curious. Stay honest. Stay present. Stay human.
