brave dialogue: Yisi Li on Interdisciplinary Thinking and The Pliable Wall

Dela

Yisi Li treats a room as a psychological instrument, tuning scale, lighting and proximity until the architecture carries as much feeling as the work inside it. She rarely knows the full checklist until a fortnight before installation, and counts that suspense as half the pleasure. For The Pliable Wall she took a chapel standing since 1848 and set Pre-Columbian objects talking to the present.
