Tonight we continue our ongoing series exploring the many alleged species reported throughout UFO history.
Our fifth journey leaves the archetypes behind and goes looking for the orphans; the creatures that never became a category.
A travelling menagerie arrives overnight in the motel parking lot, one night only, promising the rarest collection ever assembled: species seen once, never again, nowhere else on Earth.
We’ll walk the cages one by one; the winged harbinger, the invaders who came to people’s homes, the machines that examined and let go, the thing that died in the rain while three young women watched, and the final wagons at the dark end of the midway, guests whose entire existence could be measured on a clock.
Finally, we’ll turn the mystery back on ourselves and ask not what these things were, but who has been walking whom past the bars all night; and whether the rarest exhibit in the whole menagerie might be the one standing in the middle of it.
