Your loved ones are not waiting for you to find the correct spiritual passport. You are not summoning them. In this solo episode I change the question I hear most, from how do I make them come through, to how do I learn the language we already had together.
Connection does not wait for a birthday or an anniversary, and the first sign is rarely as dramatic as people expect. Every person in spirit has what I call a signature, their own particular way of letting you know they are near, mine include my mum and Tina Turner songs, my grandfather and cigarette smoke in the car, my grandmother’s perfume with no explanation for where it came from.
There is also a receiving signature, your own personal way of perceiving spirit, through feeling, knowing, seeing or dreaming. I get into visitation dreams, memory as a vehicle for presence, and what Día de Muertos, Obon and the Polish Dziady tradition reveal about the universal human need to stay in relationship with the dead.
