Uncle Wiggily and the Eel is a short story following the cheerful old rabbit gentleman as he hops along a stormy beach in search of his fortune, toadstool umbrella in hand. When he disturbs a politely slippery eel sheltering under a tin pan, an unlikely friendship sparks. But as Uncle Wiggily digs in the sand for what might be a diamond, a hungry fox creeps closer — and the rabbit, hampered by his rheumatism, has no idea of the danger closing in behind him.
