A cancer diagnosis can bring up questions that go far beyond scans, treatments and medical decisions. Dr. Eve Glazier is joined by clinical psychologists, Shannon La Cava, PsyD, and Valentina Ogaryan, PhD, from the Simms/Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology to discuss the emotional, practical and relational challenges that can follow a cancer diagnosis. They address when and how psychosocial support can help and how language can shape conversations with patients and families. They also share ways families can offer meaningful support and why it can be valuable at any point in the cancer journey.
