I explore how, after trauma (like my divorce), our brains create protective mechanisms to help us survive. While these are necessary at first, what initially protects us can eventually imprison us. I also discuss how finding glimmers becomes essential in this process. When we're dealing with trauma aftermath, we often can't see the big picture, but those tiny moments of joy or calm sustain us until larger healing happens.
