Today on our episode #442 of All in the Industry, Shari Bayer has a special “On the Road” show on the 2026 James Beard Media Awards, which took place in Chicago on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at The Art Institute of Chicago, which was the first time the Awards were held at this venue. 

The Awards, which highlight excellence in Books, Broadcast Media and Journalism covering food or drink-related content, were hosted this year by Andrew Zimmern, a James Beard Winner, Chef, Writer, Emmy-Winning Creator, Cultural Anthropologist, and our past guest on episode #380.  This event preceded the Impact Awards and Restaurant & Chef Awards, which Shari covered for the 6th time on the red carpet and in the media room, and we will be broadcasting that show soon.  Also new to this year, the Awards were presented by American Express and Resy.
