Will Ospreay's Magical Homecoming + New Level Debuts! | The Coach and Bro | Monday August 31

Dela

The Coach is back in the friendly confines after three weeks on the road, and he and Vince Russo have a loaded show. After announcing a new streamlined one-hour format (and a third weekly show coming this fall ), the guys dive headfirst into AEW All In: London — a show they both agree was one of the best pay-per-views AEW has ever produced.

The conversation starts with the debut that shocked the wrestling world: The New Level. Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed, formerly The New Day, arrived at Wembley Stadium alongside Swerve Strickland and captured the AEW World Trios Championship in their very first match. Vince breaks down why Tony Khan's revelation that he "never planned or budgeted" for the signing is so illuminating, and why Xavier Woods' graceful answer about leaving WWE — "sometimes relationships just end" — should be the blueprint for every talent departure. The guys also debate whether adding Swerve to the group creates an issue with two three-person Black factions in AEW, and why The Hurt Syndicate's alliance with The Costco Guys and The Rizzler may have finally run its course.

Then it's time for the main event: Will Ospreay's magical homecoming. From the career-retrospective entrance narrated by his mother and set to The Who's "Baba O'Riley," to the months-in-the-making custom robe, to kicking out of Kenny Omega's One-Winged Angel and hitting the most important Hidden Blade of his life — The Coach and Vince break down why this was a masterclass in big-fight presentation. Vince shares a story about interviewing an 18-year-old Ospreay in England and knowing even then that the kid "got it." The guys also discuss Ospreay's emotional post-match press conference, where he fought back tears when asked what his 16-year-old self would think of the moment.

The show wraps with two WWE stories: Ric Flair's claim that a missing gold robe has a $200,000 offer on the table (and his threat to personally come after whoever has it), and CM Punk's off-air promo in Cleveland where he put over Johnny Gargano but took what Vince believes was a direct shot at Triple H and WWE creative. Vince doesn't hold back on why he thinks Punk's comments were out of line, and why he'd absolutely have a conversation with him if he were in Triple H's shoes.
