Coach calls it a week of dumb coaching, and Monday night was Exhibit A. Mikey P and Supi join him to break down Buffalo's 37-34 overtime win in L.A. (PFT): Josh Allen's 10 carries for 121 yards, Puka Nacua's 17 catches, James Cook's fumbles, and Sean McVay settling for a 48-yard try in overtime that Buffalo blocked. Coach argues 60-yard kicks have convinced coaches a 48-yarder is a chip shot, Mikey wants coaches to stop leaning on analytics graphics, and the crew credits Joe Brady's second-half adjustments. Then the Rams at 2-3 and the stretch that decides their season.
Gridiron Time looks ahead to Week 6: Seahawks at Broncos on Thursday night in throwback uniforms (Broncos.com), the 0-5 Chargers at the unbeaten Chiefs coming off their bye, Bills at Raiders and whether Fernando Mendoza gets a look, Cowboys at Packers on Sunday night after Dallas's Thursday loss to Tampa Bay (NFL.com), and the Commanders heading to the 5-0 49ers on Monday night after their 27-27 tie with the Giants (Giants.com). Coach says Josh Allen has to carry the load from here; Mikey predicts a 49ers blowout and Coach pushes back. Picks and lines discussed are opinion only, and lines move.
Baseball closes it out: the Brewers take a 2-0 NLCS lead on the two-time defending champion Dodgers (MLB.com), and the Guardians win ALCS Game 1 over the Rays 7-3 behind José Ramírez (NBC Sports), and Coach explains why Ramírez is everything you want in a leader.
