Why do some people practice manifestation for years without seeing the results they want?
n this episode of The Shaman Stories Podcast, Jeremy sits down with manifestation coach Robert Mead to explore Neville Goddard, the Law of Assumption, imagination, self concept and what Robert believes people misunderstand about consciously creating change in their lives. Robert has spent more than 45 years studying metaphysics and personal development. His journey eventually led him to Bob Proctor, including a 13 month coaching program and training as a coach, before discovering the work of Neville Goddard and making those teachings the foundation of his practice. But this conversation isn't simply about thinking positively and waiting for something to happen.
We explore: • The Law of Assumption and Neville Goddard • Why imagination is central to Robert's manifestation practice • The difference between wishing for something and assuming it is already yours • Why action still matters when manifesting • How to identify what you actually desire • Why people become overly focused on HOW something will happen • Self concept and subconscious beliefs • What to do when doubt starts creeping in • Using visualization and all five senses • Robert's process for scripting a desired life • Why specific imaginal scenes can be so powerful • Using mirror work to change your self concept • Manifesting relationships and specific partners • Patience and persistence • Why manifestation should become a daily practice
Robert also shares several experiences from his own life. He describes deciding in advance that he would make a major timeshare sale on a specific date. For a month, he wrote about it, recorded it, listened to it and repeatedly imagined what would happen afterward. He says the sale eventually happened on the date he had written down. He also shares how he spent months imagining himself living a tropical beach life before circumstances eventually took him through Mexico, Bali and ultimately the Philippines. One of the most important themes in our conversation is that manifestation isn't simply about getting what you want. It's about becoming the person who can experience the life you want. As Robert puts it near the end of our conversation, this requires practice, patience, clarity about your desires and a willingness to work on the beliefs you hold about yourself.
