Savannah Resources PLC provided a comprehensive investor update following the publication of its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for the Barroso Lithium Project, confirming its position as Europe's largest spodumene lithium project and one of the world's lowest-cost future producers. The DFS outlines a 14-year initial mine life supported by 20Mt of reserves, with significant upside from a 39Mt resource base and additional exploration targets. The project delivers a post-tax NPV of approximately US$900m, an IRR above 30%, a payback period of under two years and industry-leading C1 cash costs of US$473/t, reinforcing its resilience across lithium price cycles. Management highlighted strong progress on project financing, offtake discussions, community partnerships and land acquisition, while targeting a final investment decision, construction preparations and further commercial milestones over the next 6–12 months. Savannah also emphasised the strategic importance of the Barroso project within Europe's critical raw materials agenda, citing growing policy support through the Critical Raw Materials Act and wider industrial initiatives aimed at strengthening the European battery supply chain. With permitting progressing, financing work advancing, and multiple catalysts expected over the coming year, management believes the project is well positioned to deliver long-term shareholder value and become a cornerstone supplier of sustainably produced lithium for Europe's electric vehicle and battery markets.
