Cleantech Lithium PLC provided an investor update highlighting continued progress towards developing its flagship Laguna Verde lithium project in Chile despite delays to the formal ratification of its Special Lithium Operating Contract (CEOL). Management reiterated that the CEOL has already been awarded, with the remaining approval process progressing through the Chilean Comptroller’s Office, and stressed that there has been no change to the project's underlying status or development strategy. The company continues to advance its growth strategy through preparations for an ASX listing, ongoing discussions with multiple global strategic partners across the EV battery, mining and commodities sectors, and post-pre-feasibility study (PFS) technical work, including Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) optimisation, lithium carbonate production trials and environmental impact assessment planning. Cleantech Lithium expects strategic partner proposals later this year, with the objective of securing funding through to Final Investment Decision (FID) without further shareholder dilution. Management also emphasised the project's strong economics, favourable long-term lithium demand outlook and the strategic value of its wider Chilean asset portfolio. While acknowledging recent share price weakness, the company remains confident that upcoming milestones, including CEOL ratification, strategic partnership agreements and further project development updates, will unlock shareholder value and reinforce Laguna Verde's position as one of Chile's most advanced lithium development projects.
