In this episode of Runnah, Ben takes over the host chair as we recap my experience at the Flat Rock Trail Race. We talk about how much has changed since Stone Cat 2025, where I was in my chronic illness journey then, and how things are looking now.
From running farther and faster to simply falling less, we dive into the progress that doesn't always show up on paper. We discuss nervous system regulation, learning to work with my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Ankylosing Spondylitis instead of fighting against them, and why this race was one of the most fun experiences I've had on the trails.
We also share why we think more people should put Flat Rock on their race calendar and celebrate the incredible community that makes these events so special.
Whether you're living with chronic illness, chasing your first trail race, or simply trying to become a little stronger than you were yesterday, this episode is a reminder that progress comes in many forms.
