Champagne on ice: the Phillies are fading down the stretch

The Phillies are ready to celebrate, but they just can’t win a baseball game.

They lost twice this week to the Brewers, postponing their plans to clinch an NL Wild Card and a fifth-consecutive trip to the postseason. The Phillies have lost 12 of their last 20. They can’t score. And now they might’ve lost Luis Arraez, who left Thursday’s game with a sprained left ankle.

Not only that, but Alex McFarlane and José Alvarado showed cracks on Thursday, too.
