Season 4, episode 13 is here!

Vic Holtreman started Screen Rant in the early 2000s as a hobby because he liked complaining about Hollywood.

Twelve years later he sold it with 15 million monthly visitors. Now he writes for men trying to rebuild their lives after divorce or midlife upheaval, and he has a fitness book with 55 drafts behind it.

This was a great conversation!

What we covered:

- How Vic knew Screen Rant was worth quitting his day job for, and what finally pushed him to do it.

- Why he sold the site at the height of its success and what he saw coming that made the timing feel right.

- Why he thinks men struggle so much with vulnerability and what he believes the right way to be vulnerable actually looks like.

- The specific reason he tells men going through divorce or crisis to start with fitness before anything else.

- How he used 15 years of food tracking data and AI to write a fitness memoir unlike anything he’d planned to write.

- The AI-guided assessment tool he built for men that several people have told him is uncomfortably good at finding the real issue.

- What helped him finally stop letting anger run his day, and why he thinks an eternal perspective is more practical than it sounds.
