A six feels generous by comparison, caught between mild weather and the nagging sense that summer hasn't delivered its one big moment yet. The conversation turns to what that moment is even supposed to look like, a loaded car, a lake, a day with no plan and no clock.
The back half of summer is still open. What gets salvaged before it ends is the real question, and rating it now is only useful if something changes because of the number.
