With their first Australian tour appearance coming over twenty years into the group’s career, it’s been a long time coming for post-hardcore staples Armor For Sleep.

We caught up with frontman and songwriter Ben Jorgensen backstage in Naarm/Melbourne during their recent run with emo mainstays Hawthorne Heights to chat about the joys of being a tourist, playing songs both old and new, the intricacies of narrative worldbuilding, and why the band’s second life is more necessity than raw desire.
