In this episode of Metabolic Balance Stories, host Cherry Wills speaks with Rachael Fattore, a naturopath and Metabolic Balance practitioner from regional New South Wales. Rachael shares how her own healing journey began after a serious accident as a teenager, which led to chronic pain, stress, anxiety, and eventually a deep interest in natural health. Despite years of naturopathic knowledge, whole foods, and movement, she later experienced fatigue, weight gain, hair thinning, cycle changes, and feeling disconnected from her body. Further testing revealed Hashimoto’s disease, giving her an answer, but she still needed a clear way forward.
Rachael explains how discovering Metabolic Balance ® in 2021 became a turning point in both her personal and professional life. Through her personalised nutrition plan, she found structure, nourishment, and a food foundation that supported her energy, weight, thyroid health, and long-term wellbeing. Cherry and Rachael also explore why “eat less and exercise more” is not always the answer, especially when stress, hormones, thyroid health, gut health, and burnout are involved. This conversation highlights the power of real food, practitioner guidance, and sustainable lifestyle change for clients who feel stuck despite doing their best.
