After a planned 2 month break from the podcast and actively showing up, I’m back with an honest episode about what happened when I stepped away from marketing my business.
For the first time in over 15 years, I wasn’t consistently posting or actively promoting my work. I wanted more headspace to support my boys through their exams and to create something new behind the scenes.
In this episode, I’m sharing what happened to my enquiries, list growth and visibility habits during that break, and why when we say “I don’t have time to be visible” it's often not the full story.
Because yes, life is busy and we don’t all have the same capacity or circumstances.
But if you’re running a service-based business, visibility matters. It’s how people find you, remember you and decide whether they trust you.
And often, when we say we don’t have time, what we really mean is that something about showing up feels harder than we want to admit.
In this episode, I talk about:
- What happened when I took 2 months away from showing up
- What happened to my enquiries and audience growth over the 2 months
- What's really hiding behind “I’m too busy”
- Why visibility is a non-negotiable part of running a service-based business
