You might be perfectly happy showing your face online, posting on social media or walking into a networking event… but how comfortable are you saying, “This is what I know and believe'?
In this episode, I’m joined by Jo Ferrone, founder of How DOES She Do It?!, a community supporting female entrepreneurs through networking, mentoring and her podcast of the same name. Jo is also the creator of Soul Voice, where she’s recently started sharing the poetry she’d previously kept mostly to herself.
We talk about the very different vulnerability that can come with sharing your expertise and ideas, why old stories about who we are can follow us long into adulthood, and what can change when we stop waiting to feel completely qualified or confident before putting our work into the world.
We also chat about networking as a form of visibility, hiding behind humility, the courage it takes to share our creativity and why Jo now believes in doing things scared.
Jo also reads one of her brilliant poems at the end of the episode.
