In this week’s solo episode, I revisit the topic of binge eating through the lens of sugar addiction. We explore why sugar can be so difficult to resist, how it interacts with the brain’s reward system, and the biological, psychological, and sociological factors that can contribute to cycles of cravings, overeating, and shame.

This isn’t about labelling sugar as “good” or “bad” - it’s about understanding why our relationship with it can become so complicated, and why breaking free often requires more than willpower alone.

If you’ve ever felt caught between wellness culture, body image, performance, shame, or identity, this conversation may resonate with you.

Content note: This episode includes discussions of eating behaviours and body image that some listeners may find sensitive or triggering. Please take care while listening.
